Strawberry Lost Croissants

Strawberry Lost Croissants

If you’re looking for a recipe that’s simple, amazing, and delicious at the same time, I’ve got you covered. These strawberry croissants will be the perfect dish to put on the brunch or afternoon tea table. Or even dessert, because it’s so good that it would be a shame not to take every opportunity to enjoy it.
I would say that the recipe is a good way to sell off leftover croissants, but seriously, who has leftover croissants? So, you will need to provide some croissants.
The rest is too easy. Just add a mixture of milk, cream and eggs. A few strawberries, a little cinnamon and you’re done.
Right out of the oven, you’re going to have the most wonderful pudding. The croissants that come out of the oven are very crispy. then, the underside is soft, deliciously scented.
To accompany, I add fresh strawberries and maple syrup. You will enjoy !

Strawberry Lost Croissants:

4 large croissants
3 eggs
50g brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
200g whole milk
100 g liquid cream
250g strawberries
Maple syrup
Cut the croissants in the middle, then in the thickness.
Place them in a greased dish.
Cut about half the strawberries and arrange them between the layers of croissants.
Whisk the eggs with the sugar and cinnamon.
Add milk and cream and mix.
Pour this mixture over the croissants.
Wait for 20/30 minutes for the croissants to soak up the preparation.
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Bake for about 30 minutes.
Enjoy warm with the remaining strawberries and maple syrup.

To finish: cinnamon is essential for me. But it can be replaced with vanilla.

Choose butter croissants.
You can replace the cream with milk, if you want to lighten it up a bit.

You can add a few slivered almonds on top.
