Shrimps pad Thai

Shrimps pad Thai

I want to travel to Thailand. The food particularly attracts me to this country. One of my favorite dishes is pad thai. It has the advantage of being very easy to prepare at home and so good. Besides, writing these words, I tell myself that I absolutely must prepare one tonight. I want it too much!

For this pad thai, rice noodles are used. They are sautéed with prawns and coated in a delicious sauce. It only takes a few minutes to make this dish. The longest part is finally preparing all the ingredients. At the last moment, eggs and bean sprouts (mung bean sprouts) are added. With peanuts, a little fresh onion, it’s a treat.

Shrimps pad Thai:

250g flat rice noodles

4 tbsp soy sauce

2 tbsp fish sauce

1 tbsp lime juice

1 tbsp of honey

1 tsp sriracha sauce

300g raw prawns (thawed)

3 cloves of garlic

2 fresh onions

2 eggs

150 g bean sprouts

unsalted peanuts

Cook the rice noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside

Roast the peanuts by passing them for 10 minutes in the hot oven or in the pan.

Prepare the sauce by mixing the soy sauce, fish sauce, lemon juice, honey and sriracha.

Mix and add 4 tablespoons of water.

Put a little oil in the wok.

Sauté the prawns until golden brown.

Add the finely grated garlic, and the white part of the fresh onions.

Let come back while mixing.

Push these ingredients to one side of the wok and put the 2 beaten eggs in the free place. Cook them while stirring so as to have scrambled eggs

Add noodles and sauce and mix well.

Let cook while the noodles warm up.

At the last moment, add the bean sprouts. To mix together.

Serve immediately with the green of the fresh onions and the peanuts.

To finish: in the pad Thai, you can also add tofu, but I’m personally not a big fan. You can also replace the shrimp with chicken.

I did not put any, but you can also put a little ginger at the same time as the garlic.

Sriracha sauce can be found in all supermarkets. You can add a little more to taste. You can optionally replace it with a little pepper.
