My favorite summer recipe! Roasted feta… So good, so simple, so perfect.
It really is the perfect appetizer.
I loved roasted feta all summer, served with cherry tomatoes or olives. But, I think it’s now with the figs that I enjoy the most. This is delicious !
And really, there is nothing simpler to prepare. Just put the feta in the oven. It becomes melting, spreads on a good nut bread and is accompanied by beautiful figs.
This weekend promises to be summer. The summer is prolonged. I like to enjoy the last rays of the day in the garden, around a glass of wine.
Roasted feta has become a must at these times.
Roasted Feta, Honey and Figs:
1 feta cheese
1 tsp honey
1 tbsp olive oil
1 sprig of rosemary
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Place the feta in a dish.
Put on top the honey and the oil, the pepper and the rosemary.
Bake for 20 minutes.
Prepare the slices of bread. You can toast them lightly.
Cut the figs into slices.
Place the dish on the table so that everyone composes their sandwiches.
To finish: count 1 feta for 3 people. Do not hesitate to prepare several.
Of course, choose a good feta. When a recipe is as simple as this, it is essential to select good products.
Instead of rosemary, you can use thyme, oregano. I also tested with zaatar.
You can also use spices, chilli, lemon zest… Anything is possible.
In the same way one can imagine many other accompaniments. For the cherry tomatoes, cook them in the same dish as the feta.
