I have the perfect recipe for this weekend! This Christmas tree recipe in soft brioche bread, accompanied by hot cheese is absolutely divine. This will be the 3rd Christmas that I have prepared it. It has almost become a tradition. And yet, I still hadn’t shared the recipe.

The realization of this tree is really very nice. You will first need to prepare the dough that you will divide into small balls. Afterwards, they will have to be stored around the cheese box with a little care. But, with the help of the photo, you will get there very easily. The trick is to start around the box first, then work the top, sides and foot.
Cheese takes a little longer to cook than brioche rolls. It will therefore be necessary to put it in the oven, leaving the lid in its place in the middle of the tree.
I always prepare a small pesto as an accompaniment. In this season, it is often arugula. And then, for the color, I add some dried cranberries.
Put this tree on the table and enjoy!
Hot Cheese Christmas Tree:
1 tbsp sugar
550g T55 flour
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp of baker’s yeast
1 mount of gold
flower of salt
Do cool down slightly water and milk and add the yeast. To mix together.
In the bowl of the robot, put the flour, salt, egg, sugar and yeast. Add liquids.
Knead for about 7/8 minutes.
After one minute, add, without stopping the machine, the butter in small pieces.
Film and let the dough rise for about 1 hour.
Place the dough on a floured work surface, degas it and cut it into 32 pieces then, shape into round balls.
Put the cheese cover on a baking sheet.
Arrange 12 balls around the cheese. First place those in the middle which will allow you to place the others later.
Then, 6 for the top, 5 on each side of the bottom, and finally 4 for the foot.
Leave to rise away from drafts for about 45 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 200°C.
Bake the cheese for about 20 minutes.
Lower the oven temperature to 180°C.
Brush the loaves with milk, put the hot cheese in the center and bake for about 10 minutes.
Place everything on the table with pesto and cranberries.
Serve with charcuterie.
