I continue with 100% fresh, 100% lazy recipes. You have to admit that the heat of the past few weeks has made me desert my kitchen. I avoid running the oven as much as possible. Even a simple pan of boiling water turns my tiny kitchen into a steam bath.
Well, anyway, we eat little and we take advantage of the barbecue and the plancha.
On the other hand, I like to prepare refreshing drinks every day.
Bubble teas are our latest craze. It took me a very long time to get the famous tapioca pearls essential for this drink at a fair price.
Since the beginning of summer, we finally have some and we are enjoying it!
Tapioca pearls, boba, are large and brown in color. Before cooking, they are powdery and crumble easily. Their smell is sweet and very pleasant.
After cooking, they become almost black and change in texture. We could compare them with small teddy-type candies. Their taste is really delicious, especially after soaking in a sweet syrup.
They are then placed in a large glass of flavored iced tea and enjoyed with a large straw.
Here I prepared a delicious iced and flavored green tea with mashed apricot.
Pour everything into a saucepan and bring to a boil to melt the sugar.
Let cool and store in a small bottle.
100g tapioca pearls
1 liter of water
Add pearls and simmer gently for 30 minutes.
Stop the heat, cover and let stand for 15 minutes.
Rinse the pearls under cold water.
Place them in a small bowl with a little syrup.
Apricot Iced Tea:
4 tsp green tea (Ceremony)
1 liter of water
100g apricot puree
Mix water and tea and leave to stand for at least two hours in a cool place.
Filter and add the apricot purée.
Put tapioca pearls in 4 glasses.
Sweeten to your taste with the sugar syrup.
Add ice cubes and tea.
Enjoy with a thick straw.
Finally: p.To find tapioca pearls, a simple search on your search engine should allow you to find different shops. As I told you above, the prices are often very high. I bought mine here and picked them up there. The 3 kilos cost me less than 12 euros and the kindness was also completely free!
It is a conditioning for professionals. Suffice to say that now, we no longer deprive ourselves.
That’s good, because my children love these little beads. They even put it in their smoothies, that’s to say!
