Apple yoghurt Cake

When looking for a very simple and delicious cake recipe, we necessarily think of yogurt cake. That’s good, I sincerely think it’s one of the best recipes we have in our notebooks.
Yes, really, the yogurt cake, as we prepared it as a child, has everything going for it. Already, simpler, it is impossible since there is only to mix the ingredients. And no need for equipment to weigh them, since we use the yogurt pot.
In addition to being simple, this cake is perfect. Thanks to the yogurt/yeast mixture, the softness is incomparable.

We can serve it just like that. But you can also make it even tastier by adding various toppings. This time, I wanted apples and almonds. The result is irresistible.
And for the treat to be total, I can’t resist serving it with a salted butter caramel.

Everyone will have fun. And it is not obligatory to specify to them that at the base, it is only a simple yogurt cake.

Apple yoghurt Cake:

1 pot of yogurt (125g)
2 jars of flour
1 jar of ground almonds
1 jar of brown sugar
1 packet of baking powder
2 eggs
1/2 jar of sunflower oil
2 tbsp Calvados
2 apples
flaked almonds

Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Pour the yogurt into a bowl.
Clean the pot and dry it.

In a salad bowl, pour the jars of flour, that of almond powder, that of sugar and yeast. To mix together.

On the yogurt, add the eggs, the oil and the calvados. Mix, then pour this mixture over the dry ingredients. Mix without insisting.

Pour the preparation into a greased 22 cm mold.

Cut the apples into thick slices and arrange them on the dough, pressing them down.
Sprinkle with slivered almonds.

Cook for 30/35 minutes.
Let cool before unmolding.

To finish: calvados can be replaced by another alcohol or even eliminated. in this case, add vanilla extract.

You can make this cake with other fruits according to your desires and the season.
